John Prine was born October
10, 1946 in Maywood, Illinois into a talented music family. He began playing
guitar at 14 and after serving in the Army he set out on a professional career
as a musician that now spans over 45 years.
Prine’s awards include 3
Grammy’s for Best Contemporary Folk Album in 1992 and 2006, along with two
additional nominations, and induction into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2015,
Artist of the Year from the Americana Music Assoc. in 2005, 2017, 2018, along
with many other accolades and 24 albums in the bin, including his newest, 2018’s
The Tree of Forgiveness,
John continues to tour and delight audiences with his music.
