Because March is big doin's time in Texas. For example the 3rd is Texas Independence Day, yes we were a country at one time, and March 6 we recognize the fall of the Alamo, which leads us into kick your a*s San Jacinto Day in April. As a state Texas music is as diverse as it is big. From Beaumont to El Paso and McAllen to Amarillo we got all kinds of the stuff.
