New Music By Old People

Then:
"Never trust anyone over 30!"
Now:
"Never listen to any musician under 30!"

When we borrow, we borrow from the best.  Trick's Synthetic Podcast takes its cue this week from the Morton Report's "New Music FOR Old People," a weekly music blog by musicologist and one of my personal favorites, Al Kooper, for this edition.   We put a slight twist on the theme and roll it out as "New Music BY Old People,"  as plethora of new tunes by artists who are waaaay over thirty.  Here look for yourself:
Leon Russell -
Down On Dixieland (Life Journey)
Johnny Winter -
Wolf In Sheep's Clothing (True To The Blues)
Robben Ford -
Ain't Drinkin' Beer No More (A Day In Nashville)
Bobby Rush and Dr. John -
Another Murder In New Orleans (Decisions)
Gurf Morlix -
Bang, Bang, Bang (Finds The Present Tense)
Iain Matthews -
Time Zone Cowboy (The Art of Obscurity)
Charlie Daniels -
Country Pie (Off the Grid - Doing It Dylan)
Willie Nelson -
Sail Away with
Oldster, Neil Young (Live At 3rd Man Records)
Wilko Johnson and Roger Daltry -
Can You Please Crawl Out Your Window (Going Back Home)

Jack Bruce -
No Surrender (Silver Rails)
