March 2, 1836

Happy Birthday, Texas. On this day at Washington On The Brazos, a few brave Texicans met and declared their independence from Mexico.  But the fight wasn't over, as would be proven in just a few days at a little mission in the town of San Antonio. This month Trick's Synthetic Podcast pays tribute to the great state of Texas, it's music and musicians...and those who sing about the Lone Star State, like these folks:

The Travis Letter - Willie Nelson
Headed Down To The Texas Border - The Flaming Groovies
Come On Down To Texas - Steve Fromholz
Ballad Of The Devil's Backbone - Todd Snider
Snake Farm - Ray Wylie Hubbard
Texas Eagle - Steve Earle and the Del McCoury Band
Going To Dallas - John Campbell
Lost In Austin - Marc Benno
T Bone Shuffle B2B with Doug Sahm and T Bone Walker
West Texas Lullaby - Toni Price
Santa Ana's Foot Soldier - Rich Minus
Corpus Christi Bay - Robert Earl Keen
Killin' Time in Texas - Gurf Morlix
But I Got Texas and Texas Polka (fade) - Jon Wayne

but it's headed in that direction!
